The journey
In 1999, Rodrigo Muñoz Vivaldi, after an extensive career that began in 1976 in traditional banking, sold his shareholding in Grupo Security to found Capital Trust, a financial advisory company whose purpose is to provide complementary financial services to the traditional banking business.
From its foundation until today, we have successfully carried out transactions for more than US$3,500 million. Capital Trust's specialized in mergers and acquisitions, financial structuring, financing, investment, search for strategic and financial partners, capital increases and valuations, among others.
Its total independence from the banking system and from economic groups has allowed it to develop its activity without facing any conflict of interest and with the sole purpose of maximizing the added value for its clients.
Today it presents itself as a Company with extensive experience and professionalism reflected in its vast history of transactions in which it has participated, which gives support and trust to its clients and other actors in the financial world with which it is related.

Rodrigo Muñoz Vivaldi
Executive DirectorFounding partner of Capital Trust in 1999, he has extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions and restructurings. Prior to the founding of Capital Trust, he performed similar role at Grupo Security, where he actively participated in its formation.
He is a Civil Industrial Engineer from the University of Chile and has developed professionally in the banking sector since 1977, as an executive and director of various financial, retail, mining, telephone, educational and productive services companies.
During his professional career, he has been director of several companies, including Grupo Security, Security Valores Corredores de Bolsa, Sociedad Educacional San Nicolás de Myra, Security General Administrator of Mutual Funds and Fundación Tacal.
He is currently director of Detroit Chile, Tarjeta Andes PrePago, a subsidiary of Caja de Compensación Los Andes, Guante / Gacel, Corporación Señales and Jardín Infantil Balu.

Vice PresidentIndustrial Civil Engineer with a diploma in Transport and Logistics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Previously, he held different roles in Urban Transport, Logistics and Salmon companies at a corporate and business level, where he led projects related to operational, commercial, human resources and IT areas.
Among those that stand out are the implementation of control systems in shipping companies, strategic planning, SAP implementation, projects, standardization of processes in Logistics companies and fuel efficiency project in transport companies.
In 2013 he joined Capital Trust, where he has participated in processes of sale, purchase, restructuring of debt with national and international clients.

He has held different positions in the financial system for more than 15 years. He has extensive knowledge in corporate finance, financial modeling, valuations, bank and non-bank financing structuring.
He has experience in multiple M&A transactions, leading share and/or asset purchase-sale processes.
In his career, he has held positions at the executive and managerial level in different areas, standing out as a business advisor to companies in different fields, administrative, financial and risk management in a private financial services company.
